BGB Deployed in Rajshahi to Ensure Law and Order During Durga Puja

Rajshahi Correspondent: To ensure a peaceful celebration of Durga Puja 2025, the Rajshahi Battalion (1 BGB) has taken special security measures.
According to a press release issued by the Commanding Officer of 1 BGB, a total of 13 platoons have been deployed since September 23, 2025. The troops are covering temples and puja mandaps located within 8 kilometers of the border area under their responsibility, as well as within 2 kilometers of the battalion headquarters. Regular patrols are being carried out to prevent any untoward incidents or deterioration of law and order.
In addition, Colonel Md. Imran Ibne Rouf, Sector Commander of Rajshahi Sector Headquarters, and Lieutenant Colonel Hasibul Haque, PPM, psc, Commanding Officer of 1 BGB, visited the puja mandaps. They exchanged greetings with the organizing committees and assured them of continuous cooperation and security support from BGB to ensure smooth celebrations.
