India keen to support RU in Sanskrit education

Md Shahin Sagor, Rajshahi: Indian Assistant High Commissioner posted in Rajshahi, Manoj Kumar, paid a courtesy call on Vice-Chancellor of University of Rajshahi Prof. Md. Faridul Islam on Sunday (April 19). The meeting was held at the conference room of Administration Building-1, where both sides গুরুত্ব দেন expanding cooperation in education and research.
During the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor briefed the envoy on the university’s ongoing academic and research activities. In response, the Assistant High Commissioner expressed interest in strengthening joint initiatives with various Indian higher education institutions. He particularly showed keen interest in supporting the academic development of the Sanskrit Department of RU through collaboration with Sanskrit universities in India.
The two sides also discussed ways to further activate the existing Memorandum of Understanding with Jamia Millia Islamia, aiming to enhance bilateral academic cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, the Assistant High Commissioner presented a publication to the Vice-Chancellor, who in turn handed over a commemorative crest on behalf of the university.
Among others present were Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof. Mohammad Main Uddin, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Moha. Farid Uddin Khan, Treasurer Prof. Md. Matiar Rahman, Acting Registrar Prof. Iftikharul Alam Masud, Chairperson of the Sanskrit Department Prof. Hosne Ara Arju, along with other relevent officials.
